we have chosen to create a series of hexagons that are asymmetrical, each tile may be rotated six different ways. this provides for an enormous variation in layouts, especially when mixed with plain field tile.
our hex series draws influence from japanese design and textiles. KAIYO is a representation of the waves present in landscape painting. UCHIWA draws from a fan shape, with a design that covers only half of the hex. the design is geometric and light. FRACTURED is a simple shape which creates strong patterns and shadows across a wall. each facet is sloped, reflecting the light differently. the glaze pools in the single void.
